Juan Arbona Comellas, a member of the Balearic Association of Friends of Soundtracks (Asociación Balear Amigos de las Bandas Sonoras – ABABS) and of the Hispanic Society Jules Verne, has published an extended, corrected, and revised second edition of his book ‘La música en las producciones sobre Jules Verne / Music in productions about Jules Verne’ (2020, Ediciones Paganel). The book, with a price of 18 € and a total of 284 pages, reviews the music of more than 300 productions based on the work of Jules Verne, both for film and television.

In the author’s own words:

“Five years have passed since the first edition of that little guide to the vast universe that constitutes music in productions about Jules Verne. On that occasion, quite a few names were left and several productions had not been reviewed. The present publication is an enlarged, corrected, and revised version, in which the readers will be able to relive the Vernian adventures to the rhythm of the musical notes created by the reviewed composers. The reader has in his hands, therefore, an encyclopedic guide to the films, tele-movies, and television series, based on the work of Jules Verne. You will find in the volume data on actors, characters, directors, and composers who have worked in more than 300 productions reviewed in the book. As an extra, access to an online music platform where you can listen directly to a selection of the works reviewed.”
