The Summer Intensive workshop that has been carried out from June 25-30, 2018 in Olomouc, Czech Republic, organized by the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive (LAFCI), is currently on its final day. This summer course is designed for graduates who are seeking more podium time to further their conducting technique and rehearsal skills with a live orchestra. The Summer Session hosted two sessions each day for five days, and culminates today with a live concert with participants conducting their own piece with the 64-piece Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra. Each participant will receive a recording of their work as well as video footage of each session with the orchestra.

 

The concert, called “Hollywood Classics”, and presented by Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive, will be held tonight, Saturday June 30th – 7:00 p.m., and will be performed by the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Conrad Pope and Angel Velez, as well as the participants of the course.
