Last Thursday June 8th, the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and MUSIMAGEN (the Association of Audiovisual Music Composers), signed a collaboration agreement to create and promote cultural initiatives of common interest to both institutions.

The agreement was signed by Joan Álvarez, General Director of the Film Academy, and Luis Ivars, President of MUSIMAGEN, establishing the creation of a space managed by the Academy for the deposit of the collection of soundtrack suites from Spanish film composers that MUSIMAGEN has.
As the main point of the agreement, the Academy will support the promotion of those soundtracks through concerts and musical activities (with special attention to the one celebrated by the RTVE orchestra).
