‘Audiovisual pleasure’ film music concert at the San Sebastian Festival 2017

NOTE: This article is an update of the news published on 7/14/2017 about the celebration of the annual film music concert at the San Sebastian Festival (read news).

 

From today, Saturday, September 16th and until next Friday 22nd, free invitations can be collected for the special film music concert to be held on Saturday, September 23rd, at the beginning of the 65th edition of the San Sebastian Festival / Donostia Zinemaldia (September 22-30).

The concert, named “Audiovisual Pleasure”, will be held at the Antonio Elorza Velodrome (San Sebastian, Spain), will include projection of images on a 400m2 giant screen, and will be in charge of the Basque National Orchestra conducted by Jose Miguel Perez-Sierra, having the participation of the Orfeon Donostiarra (conducted by Jose Antonio Sainz Alfaro).

Its duration will be of approximately of 90 minutes, will have the presence of some of the composers in the event, and this is the final program:

  1. Javier Navarrete – Pan’s Labyrinth (Suite)
  2. Jesus Garcia Leoz – Welcome Mr. Marshall! (Suite)
  3. Xavi Font – The Apostle(Suite)
  4. Joserra Senperena – Nur eta herensugearen tenplua (Suite)
  5. Angel Illarramendi – The Borgia (Suite)

 

Invitations will be available from today until the day before the concert at the information points of the San Sebastian Festival (Kursaal Center and Okendo Plaza), from 9 am to 8 pm, as well as in the Tourism office ‘Donostia Turismo’, from Monday to Saturday – 9 am to 8 pm and Sunday – 10 am to 7 pm. In case of availability, tickets will also be given at the velodrome on the day of the concert.

This concert has been possible, once again, thanks to the collaboration between the Basque National Orchestra, the SGAE Foundation and the San Sebastian Festival.
