FIMUCINEMA, the official competition section of Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ), under the coordination of Manuel Díaz Noda, has selected a total of 23 short films, 4 documentaries, and 4 fiction feature films, among the works included on its 8th edition, which come from places like Spain, United States, France, Italy, Brazil or Canada among others.
These works will compete for the best original score awards in their respective categories (Alex North Award for Best Soundtrack in fiction feature, and the Fimucinema Awards for the best original score for documentary, short film, and best original song).
All the movies of FIMUCINEMA will be projected during the Festival (Sept 21-25) in El Espacio La Granja, located on the ground floor of La Casa de la Cultura. The entrance to all the screenings is free until full capacity is reached, and at all times the established health protocols will be respected, to ensure a space free of infection to the public, where you can enjoy the magic of film and music.
Juan José Solana (musiciand and president of Fundación SGAE), Sara López (composer), Raquel Toste (RTVC journalist) and Alejandro Martín (cultural manager and artistic director of Festival Atlántico del Género Negro Tenerife Noir). The winners will be unveiled on Sunday, September 27 at the closing ceremony of the Festival at El Espacio La Granja, which will also include the screening of the Alex North Award winning film.
