IFMCA Awards 13th edition – Nominees

Last Thursday, February 9th, nominations for the 13th edition of the IFMCA Awards (International Film Music Critics Association) were presented.

 

IFMCA, founded in 1990 by Mikael Carlsson, is an association of online, print and radio journalists who specialize in writing about original film and television music, that has grown to comprise over 65 members from countries across Europe and USA.

As for the composers with the highest number of nominations in this edition, we have Michael Giacchino and Justin Hurwitz with 5 nominations each, followed closely by Abel Korzeniowski with four. And if we talk about the Spanish presence, we can see Fernando Velázquez, Victor Reyes, Alberto Iglesias and the label Quartet Records owned by José María Benítez among the nominations.
