ISFMF 2018 festival – ISFMF Academy
The Croatian International Sound & Film Music Festival (ISFMF) that will be celebrated from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of October 2018, has opened the doors of the ISFMF Academy, that will be accepting new members until 31st of August 2018.
ISFMF Academy actively contributes to the study of the art of film music and soundtracks, organizing film music seminars, workshops, master classes, panels and other industry activities, mostly during the celebration of the ISFMF festival in October.
ISFMF Academy is also responsible of voting for the annual award show held during the ISFMF festival, to honor one of the most important aspects of the film industry: the music. In this award, composers can get nominated in different categories, ranging from Best Original Score for Feature Film, Documentary, Short (live-action, documentary and animated) to Best Sound Mixing and Sound Editing. The board of the ISFMF Academy actually consists of Oscar-winning artists, producers, publicists and other eminent industry professionals, such as Richard King, Michael Minkler, Randy Thom, Beth Krakower, Robert Townson, Jaco van Dormael or Kyle Eastwood.
Voting membership is open to film music composers and to professionals active in the film or film music business: filmmakers, agents, managers, producers, publicists, etc… All you have to do is fill the form on the official website and pay a yearly membership (120 € for Industry Professionals and 100 € for Composers – Reduced prices apply on advanced applications before May 31st).
Becoming a voting member gives the opportunity to participate in the selection of the Special Crystal Pine Award for Best Original Score in a Feature Film and Special Crystal Pine Award for Best Song/Soundtrack, besides receiving a VIP Industry Professional accreditation for the entire ISFMF festival in October, among many other benefits.
