Krakow FMF 2021 – Concert ‘Cinema Chorale’ [ONLINE]

Today, Sunday, May 30 at 20h, ends the first part of the Krakow FMF 2021 with a special concert entitled ‘Cinema Chorale(NOTE: The festival will return in August – read more).

This concert, performed by the Polish Radio Choir conducted by Maria Piotrowska-Bogalecka, was recorded 135 meters underground in the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine, Jan Haluszka I Chamber, and will be available in two audio versions: the traditional stereo version and binaural mix of ambisonic recording (for headphone listening).

  • Mychael Danna – Pie Jesu / Lux Aeternafrom Lilies
  • Arvo Pärt – Da Pacem Domine from The Young Victoria
  • Ennio Morricone (arr. M. Pawełek) – Angele Dei from The Mission
  • Jean-Baptiste de Laubier, Arthur Simonini – song from Portrait of a Lady on Fire
  • Jóhann Jóhannsson – Orphic Hymn
  • David Lang – I Lie from The Great Beauty
  • Don Davis – chorale from Behind Enemy Lines
  • Gustav Mahler (arr. C. Gottwald) – Im Abendrot (Adagietto from Symphony No. 5) from Death in Venice
