Nordic Film Music Days – HARPA Award 2018 Winner

Last weekend the Nordic Film Music Days 2018 event will took place in Berlin (Germany), encompassing composers from northern European countries such as Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, during which the HARPA Nordic Film Music Composer Award was presented (read news).

 

The winner was Icelandic composer Daníel Bjarnason for his soundtrack for the film ‘Under the Tree’ directed by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson.

 

The nominees for the HARPA Nordic Film Composer Award 2018 were:

  • Daníel Bjarnason (Iceland) – ‘Under the Tree’
  • Henrik Skram (Norway) – ‘Snøfall’
  • Miska and Juri Seppä (Finland) – ‘Tatu and Patu’ (recorded with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra)
  • Kristian Selin Eidnes Andersen (Denmark) – ‘Sameblood’
  • Björn Olsson (Sweden) – ‘Jätten’
