The Oscar Concert 2018

This weekend, on Sunday, March 3rd, the 90th edition of the Oscars is going to be celebrated (read news), and as we already informed you almost a year ago!! (read news), today Wednesday, February 28th ‘The Oscar Concert’ will be held in Los Angeles to celebrate music in the movies in general and music nominated this year in particular.

 

The event will be in charge of the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Thomas Wilkins, who will share the baton with some deluxe guests: John Williams, Carter Burwell and Alexandre Desplat, who will be on the podium to conduct their nominated music.

In addition, the stage will also welcome Terence Blanchard (trumpet), Liv Redpath (soprano), Hans Zimmer (keyboards), Benjamin Wallfisch (keyboards) and A.R. Rahman.

 

And to top it off, the event will feature the following composers / directors / guest stars: Michael Giacchino, Michael Abels, Paul Thomas Anderson, Guillermo Del Toro, Ava DuVernay, Rian Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Daniela Vega.
