World Soundtrack Awards 2018 – Lifetime Achievement Award for Philippe Sarde

Film Fest Gent will honor French composer Philippe Sarde with Lifetime Achievement Award at 18th edition of the World Soundtrack Awards, which will be celebrated this month of October in Ghent (Belgium).

 

The French composer is known for an immense variety and richness in his scores, ranging from impressive symphonic work to pure jazz. He has worked with several world-famous directors such as Claude Sautet, Bertrand Tavernier, Roman Polanski, Jean-Jacques Annaud, Jacques Doillon or Robert Bresson among many others.

 

Philippe Sarde will receive this award during the World Soundtrack Awards Gala night, on Wednesday 17th of October 2018 at the Capitole Ghent theatre, which will have a concert performed by the Brussels Philharmonic conducted by Dirk Brossé, dedicated to Carter Burwell, which will also have the music and the presence of Philip Sarde and Nicholas Britell.
