World Soundtrack Awards 2018 – Second wave of nominees

Film music festival World Soundtrack Awards, that celebrates its 18th edition on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th of October, 2018 in Ghent (Belgium), has just announced a second wave of nominees with the following categories:

 

Best Original Score for a Belgian Production

  • Valentin Hadjadj – Girl
  • Raf Keunen – Le Fidèle
  • Rutger Reinders  – Zagros

 

Discovery of the Year 2018

  • Laurent Eyquem – Nostalgia
  • Hildur Guðnadóttir – Sicario: Day of the Soldado
  • Valentin Hadjadj – Girl
  • Tamar-kali – Mudbound
  • Amelia Warner – Mary Shelley

 

SABAM Award For The Most Original Composition By a Young International Composer

NOTE: Within this award, the contesters received a task to compose music for Isao Takahata’s animated film ‘Grave of the Fireflies’. The winner will be awarded 2500 € and a Hans Zimmer Strings sampling package offered by Spitfire Audio.
