El Festival Musimagem Brasil, que está celebrando su edición del 4 al 10 de diciembre, ofreció ayer sábado 9 de diciembre varias conferencias online gratuitas con Peter M. Bernstein, Catherine Joy, Heather McIntosh y Allyson Newman.

 

Entre ellas, nos gustaría destacar la conferencia dedicada a los festivales de música de cine y su diversidad cultural con Gorka Oteiza (SoundTrackFest), que tuvo la participación especial de Diego Navarro (Fimucité).

  • Spanish journalist Gorka Oteiza talks about his experience covering festivals in diverse locations such as Brazil, Spain, the Czech Republic, Germany, and the encounter with the diversity of cultures, composers, and audiences gathered around film scoring.

  • Renowned American composer and conductor Peter M. Bernstein, known for his music in numerous films and series, including “Ewok Adventure,” as well as orchestrator for films like “Ghostbusters,” and the video “Thriller” with Michael Jackson, and Brazilian composer Marcos Souza, will discuss their careers and the work of their parents, Elmer Bernstein and Chico Mário.

  • 8:00 PM – Lecture: Plinio Profeta and His Work
  • Plinio Profeta is a musician, film score composer, and music producer. He has won the Best Original Soundtrack award from the Brazilian Academy of Cinema twice, for “O Palhaço” in 2011 and “O Filme da Minha Vida” in 2018. Early in his career, Profeta won a Latin Grammy for producing Lenine’s album “Falange Canibal.”
