CONCIERTOS

The summit features four exceptional public concerts bringing to Prague the very composers behind world-famous soundtracks. Iconic works from films, series, and video games will be performed on a single stage — from epic orchestral themes to emotional melodies known to audiences worldwide. The music will be brought to life by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Hollywood composers who will personally present their works. Each concert will offer a different musical world — from cinematic epics to modern gaming compositions — together creating an experience unlike anything else in Europe.

 

23 APRIL 2026 – THU – 19:30h – GALA  Concert OF HOLLYWOOD STARS – Obecní Dům

An evening when the magic of film music will shine in all its glory! The majestic Smetana Hall will bring together all the stars of this year’s Composers Summit Prague on one stage – world-renowned composers, their legendary melodies, and the top musicians of the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

 

Attendees will hear unforgettable themes from Pearl Harbor, The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, The Boys, Frozen, Ant-Man, Medal of Honor, Assassin’s Creed, World of Warcraft: Malach, Daredevil, House of Cards, K-Pop Demon Hunters, The Martian and Life of Pi – performed by their original composers. Some composers will take their place behind the conductor’s podium, while others will pick up their instruments to bring their works to life.

 

The evening will be complemented by breathtaking visual projections and an atmosphere that will transport attendees to the heart of Hollywood.

25 APRIL 2026 – SAT – 20:00h – Concert  WITH MUSIC FROM STRANGER THINGS – Nová Spirála

A unique evening unlike anything else in Prague!

 

The phenomenal soundtrack to the series Stranger Things will come to life in an exclusive concert performance—just as Netflix releases the new season of this cult hit. The legendary composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein will perform in person and present a special audiovisual show prepared exclusively for the Prague audience. The iconic synthetic tones have defined the 1980s and continue to thrill fans around the world to this day.

 

The only concert that will draw attendees right into the world of Hawkins – and beyond, into the Upside Down itself!

Prague is in for an extraordinary film and music experience the likes of which the world has never seen before!

 

The visionary film Metropolis (1927) by director Fritz Lang, considered one of the pillars of world cinema, will come to life in a new form – with premiere symphonic music penned by Jeff Beal, five-time Emmy Award winner and composer of the iconic music for the series House of Cards. Under his personal direction, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra will create a perfect combination of live music and timeless film images. Sound, image, emotion – all will merge into a single moment that will go down in history.

28 APRIL 2026 – TUE – 19:30h – GUSTAVO SANTAOLALLA Concert – Hudební divadlo Karlín

A spectacular finale to the festival with a legend of world music!

 

Two-time Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolalla will personally present his most famous compositions from films and plays that have moved the whole world – The Last of Us, Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, and others. Accompanied by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, his unique musical style will be heard – a mixture of passion, depth, and South American soul that can touch every heart. Showcase of the mastery of a composer who is rewriting the history of film and game music.

Opening concert

A grand musical celebration showcasing the power and beauty of film music. Iconic scores will be conducted by their original composers, offering audiences a unique chance to experience legendary works performed live. These masterpieces from renowned films, TV shows, and games will be brought to life by the esteemed Czech National Symphony Orchestra in the stunning setting of the Municipal House, Prague.

 

Masterclasses conducted by Hollywood maestros

Learn directly from some of the greatest Hollywood composers in intimate, hands-on sessions. Participants will receive a creative brief two weeks before the summit to compose a piece of music, which will then be reviewed by the experts. An invaluable critique of your work and insights into the professional standards of Hollywood scoring. What to Expect: A detailed walkthrough of the composition process. Insights into working with film directors and producers. Individual feedback on your compositions. Examples of industry projects, including behind-the-scenes details.

 

Secrets of Scores

It is the centerpiece of the Composers Summit Prague 2026 and a must-attend event for anyone passionate about the art of film scoring. This session offers an extraordinary opportunity to dive into the minds of world-renowned Hollywood composers as they unveil the magic behind their most celebrated works. A series of captivating presentations where top industry composers unfold their creative process, share insider tips and tricks, and reveal the behind-the-scenes moments that brought their iconic scores to life.

 

Recording workshop and postproduction/editing in mixing hall

Live orchestral recording workshop, led by Harry Gregson-Williams, Mychael Danna, Conrad Pope & Chris Egan. A deep understanding of orchestral recording and post-production processes. This event will have two parts – orchestral recordings of iconic music like Life of Pi or Narnia and than postproduction/editing in mixing hall. They will show each step of the recording process and share tips & tricks. What to Expect: Learn how to prepare a score for live recording. Witness the interaction between composers, conductors, and musicians. Understand the technology and tools used in major recording studios. A demonstration of mixing and mastering techniques

 

Showcase of Talented Composers

An evening dedicated to emerging composers, featuring live performances of their original works. A curated selection of compositions from talented creators worldwide. Each composer will have the spotlight, presenting their unique compositions and sharing their work.

 

Life of Composers

A series of talks by composers, for composers. Covering the daily life of a composer — from the act of composing itself, through marketing, music production, and the business side, to music publishing, studio recording, and even the mental aspects of creating music.
