With a 45-piece orchestra, an 8-piece band, a dynamic multi-tier stage, and stunning choreography, this is Lebo M’s first-ever live concert, to be celebrated on African soil—a truly historic moment in music. Hans Zimmer, the Oscar-winning composer behind The Lion King, Gladiator, and Inception, will be taking the stage alongside Lebo M for a once-in-a-lifetime musical celebration.

 

The 90-minute live musical experience will celebrate Lebo M’s unparalleled career, featuring his most iconic works from The Lion King, The Woman King, and The Power of One. Audiences will be treated to a grand orchestral performance, world-class vocals, and a breathtaking stage production unlike anything seen before.

 

Famous for writing, arranging, and performing the iconic Zulu chant “Nants’ Ingonyama” from The Circle of Life, Lebo M’s groundbreaking work on The Lion King has reshaped how African music is celebrated worldwide. Speaking about this landmark event, Lebo M shared his excitement: “My music is – and always will be – rooted in home soil, and I couldn’t be more excited about staging my first live concert season in Cape Town next year. The music from The Lion King not only touched hearts and minds around the world, it continues to provide an inspirational platform to uplift local talent and inspire the next generation of creators.
