DESCRIPCIÓN OFICIAL

The beginning of autumn will be marked by a unique concert in the entire region!

On Wednesday, September 25 at 8 p.m., the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment will host the renowned composer of applied music Austin Wintory and the FAME’S Institute orchestra from Macedonia, who will perform music from some of the most famous video games in the world. This event is particularly significant because Wintory, known for his work on games such as «Journey» and «Assassin’s Creed Syndicate», will perform for the first time in the region and conduct the Symphony Orchestra of FAME’S Institute from Macedonia.

At the «Level One» concert, music from popular video games such as «Journey», «Bioshock», «Assassin’s Creed», «Ori and the Will of the Wisps», «BattleTech» and many others will be performed. It is interesting to point out that the collaboration between Austin Wintory and the FAME’S Project orchestra began 15 years ago, when this orchestra performed and recorded his music for the video game «Journey», for which Wintory was nominated for the prestigious Grammy Award and achieved worldwide popularity.

The day after the concert, on September 26, there will be a guided conversation with Austin Wintory in Belgrade. This event will be open to all composers, music producers, and anyone interested in Austin’s work. Admission to the talk is free, but registration will be required.

Austin Wintory is an American composer known for his innovative approach to orchestral music in video games and films. His work on the 2012 game «Journey» garnered widespread acclaim and a Grammy Award nomination. In addition to «Journey» and «Assassin’s Creed Syndicate», Wintory also worked on the music for the video game «The Banner Saga».

Fame’s Project Orchestra is one of the most successful orchestras for performing and recording applied music in this part of Europe. During its 15 years of operation, the orchestra has participated in more than 4,000 orchestral projects, collaborating with composers and production companies throughout Europe, the USA, South America, India and Asia. Fame’s project opened a modern orchestra studio in Skopje in 2017, designed by French acousticians and Macedonian architects.

Tickets for the concert «Level One Concert – A Journey Through Video Game Music» are available at the ticket office and on the website of the Kolarac Endowment at the price of 3,500, 3,000 and 2,500 dinars.
