You race towards Earth in Apollo 13, the heartbreaking images from Schindler’s List or Elliot sitting on his flying bike with E.T. in his basket in front. The emotions you felt then will be experienced all over again during Symphonic soundtracks. Among other things, you will listen to classics from The Godfather Concert Suite as well as the heroic The Mask of Zorro and rousing Raiders March from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The cinematic program is under the direction of conductor Dirk Brossé. He is no stranger to the NNO – Noord Nederlands Orkest and has conducted top orchestras worldwide and stood at the baton in the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Royal Festival Hall in London, De Munt in Brussels, the Tokyo Forum and Concert Hall Shanghai, among others. He has collaborated with top classical soloists such as José Van Dam and Philip Webb and with artists such as Hans Zimmer, Emma Thompson, Randy Crawford, Mel Brooks and Sinead O’Connor. He has written two hundred compositions, including concertos, oratorios, songs, chamber music, symphonic works and music for theater and film. At NNO, he previously conducted A Symphonic Tribute to Prince.
