A vivid and visceral viewing experience, this event takes Joker to a new dimension.

 

Led by a lone cello and featuring industrial soundscapes and string-led melodies, Guðnadóttir’s Academy Award-, BAFTA- and Golden Globe-winning score illuminates the hope, despair, exhilaration and devastation of Arthur Fleck, aka the Joker’s, emotional journey that won Joaquin Phoenix an Oscar for Best Actor.

 

One of the most acclaimed young composers of her generation, described by The Times as ‘music to Hollywood’s ear’, and the first-ever solo female winner of the BAFTA and Golden Globe awards for Best Original Score, this is a rare chance to experience Guðnadóttir’s inimitable score live and fully-realised.

 

On Joker: Live in Concert, Guðnadóttir said, ‘I’m thrilled to get to see and hear Joker in the cinema with a live orchestra. When we recorded the music, the orchestra brought such depth and detailed attention to the performances that we were all literally holding our breaths during most of the recording sessions… I’m so happy to get to go there again and for an audience to experience that too.’

Tune your spidey senses into a web of intricately-woven live music in this bold event that brings the film’s score and soundtrack to life alongside the film.

 

Shown on a giant screen and accompanied by a unique fusion of live orchestra, turntables and percussion playing the music from the score and soundtrack, this is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse like you’ve never seen it before.

A Sony Pictures Animation production, the film introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

 

The music score for the box office hit was composed by Academy Award®-nominee, multiple Golden Globe®-nominee and Emmy-winning composer Daniel Pemberton, known for his work on films and series such as The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Oceans 8 and The Bad Guys.

 

The hip-hop-based film score contains original song contributions from industry greats Post Malone, Lil Wayne, Jaden Smith and Nicki Minaj.

 

As Daniel Pemberton said of the concert, ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one of my favourite scores I’ve ever written. Utilising a full orchestra, crazy electronics and unbelievable turntable scratching techniques amongst a million other things, it is so technically complex I never thought we’d ever be able to actually reproduce it in a live concert, but somehow, we have.’
