Film Music House regresa hoy, sábado 5, y mañana, domingo 6 de junio de 2021, ofreciendo un fin de semana repleto de conferencias online, talleres, y sesiones de preguntas y respuestas en directo y mucho más, con participantes como: Carlos Rafael Rivera, Lolita Ritmanis, Volker Bertelmann, Laura Karpman, Ilan Eshkeri, Raphaelle Thibaut, Kevin Kiner, Dino Meneghin, Julie & Steven Bernstein, Jeremy Turner, Wendy Blackstone, Nainita Desai, Osei Essed, Trevor Gureckis, Stephanie Economou, Lili Haydn, Miriam Cutler o Starr Parodi entre muchos otros.

 

Creado y producido una vez más por Thomas Mikusz y Chandler Poling, de White Bear PR, la conferencia online de este fin de semana se estrenará primero en exclusiva en el grupo de Facebook del Foro ‘Perspective’ y una semana después se compartirá con el público de forma gratuita en www.filmmusichouse.com

Con ‘Perspective’ como colaboradores, encontramos una increíble comunidad de Facebook con más de 13.000 miembros creativos para participar en este evento.

De las bandas sonoras a las canciones, Film Music House: Summer Edition ofrece talleres y conferencias con creadores de espectáculos, supervisores musicales, ejecutivos de la música, compositores y autores de canciones, dando la oportunidad de unirse a una vibrante comunidad de compositores y cineastas mientras conectan sobre su amor por la narración de historias a través de lo visual y la música.

Synopsis: Emmy-winning composer Carlos Rafael Rivera in conversation with Emmy-winning composer Lolita Ritmanis discuss the cornerstone moments of his career that led him to scoring Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit and the tenacity it takes to stay in the Entertainment Industry.  Together they reflect on the rewards of mentoring young composers and trade career tips and music business advice on how to make it as a film composer. ALL DAY EVENT – WRITE WHAT YOU KNOW: APPLYING YOUR PERSONAL SKILLS TO FILM SCORING

Synopsis: In an intimate workshop, Emmy-winning composer Laura Karpman walks audiences through how she applies her Classical and Operatic educational background into the film and television scoring industry.  This was recently executed expertly in HBO’s Lovecraft Country where her opera aria ’Tulsa, 1921: Catch the Fire’ appeared in episode 109 of the critically acclaimed series, allowing a rare chance for new opera music to be heard on Primetime television.

Synopsis: Ilan Eshkeri and Raphaelle Thibaut discuss scoring their recent, respective nature docuseries, A Perfect Planet and Secrets of the Whales, as well as music to be found in nature, using anthropomorphic music to humanize creatures great and small, and their own personal experiences and passions for the natural world.

Synopsis: Trevor Gureckis and Stephanie Economou each discuss using score to help immerse audiences in complicated fantasy/superhero/horror TV series – acting as an emotional tether to help ground us in fantastic worlds, finding the perfect sounds for places and characters outside reality, and how music is oftentimes the make-it-or-break-it for our suspension of disbelief.

ALL DAY EVENT – FINDING THE RIGHT TONE: HOW MUSIC INFLUENCES STORYTELLING

Synopsis: Emmy-nominated composer Miriam Cutler (Flannery) demonstrates the different impact music can make on a scene. In this hands-on workshop, filmmakers and composers are given the tools to better understand how to give direction and understand how music, tone, and instrumentation can change the emotion of a scene.
