Ganadores 16ª edición premios IFMCA

Hoy jueves 20 de febrero se ha celebrado la 16ª edición de los premios que otorga la IFMCA (International Film Music Critics Asociation – Asociación Internacional de Críticos de Música de Cine), y se ha hecho de una forma muy original, presentando por primera vez los ganadores a través de un vídeo de YouTube Live, que se puede ver completo en el siguiente enlace:

 

Bear McCreary consigue el premio al compositor del año, mientras que el premio a la Banda Sonora del año es para el legendario veterano John Williams por su BSO para la novena y última película de Star Wars, ‘The Rise of Skywalker’. La partitura también se lleva el premio a la Mejor partitura original para una película de fantasía / ciencia ficción / terror, mientras que el tema principal ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ se lleva el premio a la Composición musical del año.

 

John Williams también recibió el premio especial IFMCA Roberto Aschieri Special Award, principalmente en reconocimiento a su logro casi incomparable al componer la saga de 9 películas que comenzó con la cinta original de Star Wars en 1977.

 

Este premio lleva su nombre en memoria del miembro de IFMCA de Argentina que murió en 2017, y no se otorga todos los años, siendo dado a proyectos o individuos que los miembros consideran dignos de un reconocimiento significativo fuera de las categorías ‘regulares’ de la IFMCA.
