The series “Voices of Revolution: Russia 1917” will open tomorrow at the Royal Festival Hall of London with the screening of Sergei Eisenstein’s 1925 masterpiece from the first Russian Revolution in 1905: the silent film ‘Battleship Potemkin’.
The event will have live music performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra of London conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy, in a special arrangement from the symphonies of Dmitri Shostakovich.
