Buma Music in Motion – BMIM, which will be celebrating its 10th edition on 19 & 20 May 2020 in Amsterdam (Netherlands), has confirmed that Japanese composer Yoko Shimomura will be a keynote speaker of this year’s edition.

 

Shimomura is best known for her work on game soundtracks including the Kingdom Hearts series, Mario & Luigi RPG series, Streetfighter II, Final Fantasy XV, and many more. Yoko Shimomura has been a video game composer for over 30 years, and has been called the most famous female video game composer in the world.

 

BMIM 2020 will feature an extensive program including workshops, networking sessions, and keynotes, all of which take place on May 20. The evening before, on May 19, the Buma Awards Music in Media Categories ceremony takes place, including an informal dinner and drinks.
