On Saturday, May 4th, composer and drummer Antonio Sánchez will perform his award-winning score live to a screening of the film ‘Birdman’ (2014, dir. Alejandro González Iñárritu) at the Barbican Hall in London (UK).
A mix of intense jazz drumming and sparse percussive noise, Sánchez’s score adds an eerie feel to the film, propelling the action forward and hypnotizing audiences. Responsive to the action on screen, each performance of the score is a one-off.
This Live-to-picture concert is part of ‘La Linea 19 – The London Latin Music Festival’, which runs from April 25 – May 5, 2019.
