The Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey (CA, USA), will host a free concert today, July 11th, entitled ‘Opera at the Shore’, as part of the ‘Marina del Rey Free Summer Concert Series’.
The concert will have the Marina del Rey Symphony perform highlights from Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’, followed by a medley of live-to-picture scenes from Lon Chaney’s terrifying 1925 silent film, ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, featuring an original new score composed by Craig Safan. The concert will include a full symphony orchestra, soprano, and organ.
