Oscars 94th edition – Winners
Yesterday, Sunday, March 27, 2022, the 94th edition of the Oscars was celebrated at the Dolby Theatre – Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
The winning film of the night was Dune with 6 statuettes, followed by CODA with 3. The award for Best Picture went to CODA and Directing to Jane Campion (The Power of the Dog), while Actor and Actress in a Leading Role awards were for Will Smith (King Richard) and Jessica Chastain (The Eyes of Tammy Faye).
In the music section, Hans Zimmer won the Oscar for Music (Original Score) with his work in Dune, his second award after ‘The Lion King (1994)’, with more than 25 years and 10 nominations between the two awards.
Hans Zimmer was not in Los Angeles to receive the statuette, and got the news of his Oscar in Amsterdam, where he is currently on tour with his show Hans Zimmer Live (read more).
In fact, as he publicly posted on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, his daughter Zoë woke him up at 2 a.m. and made him go down to the hotel lobby, where the whole band was waiting to give him an “Oscar” and congratulate on this award, which he picked up in his pajamas and bathrobe.
