La Orchestre national de Lyon dirigida por Eckehard Stier, ofrecerá dos conciertos de videojuegos en abril (viernes 7 y sábado 8), dedicados en su mayoría a la música de la saga Final Fantasy. Los conciertos contarán con la participación de Rony Barrak (darbouka) y Pierre Thibout (piano).

 

Descripción:

 “Long before the confinement, the video game was one of the most practiced leisure activities in France. Technological developments now allow it to support a soundtrack that has nothing to envy the great scores of film music. For the first time, the AO dedicates an entire concert to this highly creative music.

 

There is no predefined style in video game music, all genres are represented. These musics have in common to be intimately linked to the virtual world they accompany. Like the characters or the scenery, they are part of the game universe and deploy their immense evocative potential. Today, like film music, video game music has an independent life. The AO proposes to devote this concert to the symphonic pages that have long accompanied great sagas such as Final Fantasy. You don’t have to be a hardcore gamer to enjoy this music with a crazy communicative energy!”
