Croatian Composers’ Society and Cantus with great pleasure invite the audience to the author’s concert of composer Dalibor Grubačević , which will be held on the occasion of his 50th birthday , on Monday, September 15, 2025, starting at 8 p.m. , in The Small Hall of Vatroslav Lisinski.
This festive concert provides a cross-section of Grubačević’s diverse work performed by prominent Croatian musicians and ensembles.
The composer has chosen for his concert the following pieces: Solid Pictures for horn and piano , Diptych for tuba quartet , selected pieces from the Tuba Concerto , as well as concert arrangements of film music from the films The Conversation , Because of You and The Ghost in the Marsh . The audience will also have the opportunity to hear works such as Two Rivers , Valse Balkanique , Four Scapes and the attractive Czardas Suite for strings . Most of the pieces from this program have also been recorded on audio. Musical Gravity published last year at the Cantus publishing house.
The author’s concert will feature renowned musicians: pianist Mia Elezović, tuba player Krunoslav Babić, flutist Marta Šomođi Homan, clarinetist Mihael Paar, oboist Dario Golčić, horn players Petar Kšenek, Antonio Pirrotta and Miro Markuš, as well as BC Brass, Tuba Quartet XL, Camerata Cantilly, and the Zagreb Soloists.
