Following a series of failed experiments in Europe, scientist Herbert West travels to the United States to work at Miskatonic University. Once there, he will continue his dangerous research, which aims to come up with a formula that will allow him to reanimate the dead. Stuart Gordon’s Grand Guignolesque and Lovecraftian masterpiece turns 40, and we’re celebrating it with a restored copy and part of the crew that participated in the film.

Round Table – Laughter & Chills: 40 Years Of Re-Animator

Forty years after its release, Re-Animator remains one of the most irreverent, transgressive, and beloved films in fantastic cinema. With its unique blend of extreme horror, dark humor, and punk spirit, Stuart Gordon’s masterpiece redefined the genre and left a lasting mark on an entire generation of viewers.
In this roundtable, the festival will celebrate the legacy of this cult classic with three of its key figures: Barbara Crampton, iconic actress whose career is closely tied to the film; and Richard Band, composer behind one of the most recognizable and influential soundtracks in the genre.
A unique opportunity to relive the laughter, chills, and behind-the-scenes stories of an immortal title that still beats with the same strength as in 1985.
