The BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Mike Dixon will return to Malta on Sunday, July 9, with the concert ‘100 Years of Hollywood’ to perform from classic movie themes to modern-day soundtracks, in a stunning tribute to the past century of film music, bringing the power and majesty of live orchestral music to the stage.
With 70 musicians, nearly 20 top West End vocalists, and a star presenter on stage, the show will take the audience from the Golden Age to the present day. From the dancing feet of Astaire and Rogers to the full throttle sound of ‘Top Gun, Maverick’. From the sparkle of ‘Singin’ in the Rain’, to the joy of ‘La La Land’, from the romance of ‘Dirty Dancing’ to the heart of Disney. From ‘Gone With the Wind’ to ‘Ghostbusters’, ‘Jurassic Park’ to ‘James Bond’, ‘The Bodyguard’ to ‘The Greatest Showman’.
