This weekend, Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of May, a special presentation of the 1991 animated classic movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will be held at the Hollywood Bowl, featuring a live orchestra and singers to perform the soundtrack composed by Alan Menken with lyrics by Howard Ashman.
The orchestra will be conducted by Michael Kosarin and a choir will perform the film’s classic score together with a cast featuring Zooey Deschanel (Belle), Kelsey Grammer (Lumiere), Taye Diggs (Gaston), Rebel Wilson (LeFou), Jane Krakowski (Mrs. Potts) and Anthony Evans (Beast). The shows will also have the special performance of violin soloist Sandy Cameron and cello sensation Tina Guo.
The event will be enhanced with breathtaking living scenery projected onto the façade of the iconic Hollywood Bowl, making the event more immersive, and will also include a costume contest, unique photo opportunities, and other surprises.
This special family event is produced by Laura Engel & Richard Kraft, Tim Fox & Alison Ahart Williams, and Live Nation/Andrew Hewitt & Bill Silva Presents, in association with Disney Concerts, with Alan Menken as executive producer of the event.
