The American composer, arranger, and jazz accordionist Dominic Carmen Frontiere passed away last Thursday 21st of December, 2017 at the age of 86. He was especially known for composing the theme and much of the music for the first season of the television series ‘The Outer Limits’ (1963).
He received a Golden Globe Award in 1980 for the movie ‘The Stunt Man’, and he also co-wrote the Golden Globe-nominated song ‘The Color of the Night’ for 1994’s movie ‘Color of Night’. He received a Primetime Emmy Award for his music direction on 1970’s patriotic TV show ‘Swing Out, Sweet Land’.
