The Orchestre de Jeux Vidéo, a wind-symphony orchestra founded in 2008 in Canada specialized in video game music, will perform two concerts dedicated to the music of the well-known video game Final Fantasy VII entitled ‘Materia Symphony – Inspirée de Final Fantasy VII’.

In the first part of the concert, the OJV led by Jonathan Dagenais will pay tribute to several must-have opuses by performing the soundtracks of the various games in the Final Fantasy series. The second part of the concert will be devoted to the performance of an original symphony of approximately 45 minutes written by Alexandre Choinière, musician of the orchestra, and inspired by the famous game Final Fantasy 7, a monument of the series originally published on the PlayStation console in 1997.

To emphasize the symphony’s grandiose aspect, the OJV will integrate a large choir composed of the Petits Chanteurs de Laval and the Chœur des Jeunes de Laval, resulting in more than 150 musicians on stage (60 musicians and more than 100 choir members).
