The Original SoundTrack Orchestra – OSTO will make its debut today in Llívia performing a repertoire of film music in a concert entitled ‘The trailer’ that will have two new performances next week in Vic and Barcelona.
The Original SoundTrack Orchestra – OSTO is a symphony orchestra formed mainly by 70 students and alumni of the School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC). The orchestra has two conductors: Albert Torrebella and Belén Clemente. The age range of the members of the orchestra is from 18 to 25 years old.
The project, self-managed by the students themselves, is the only one in Catalonia that dedicates and focuses its repertoire on film soundtracks. It is for this reason that they call themselves “a film orchestra” and this is also the reason why the official public presentation of the formation, which consists of three recitals, has been baptized with the name “The trailer”.
The debut concert will be today, Sunday, June 19, at 6 p.m., in the church of Our Lady of the Angels of Llívia. Admission is free.
The program will be as follows:
- John Williams: Superman
- Hans Zimmer: Gladiator
- John Williams: Indiana Jones
- Alan Silvestri: Forrest Gump
- Hans Zimmer: Piratas del Caribe
- John Williams: Jurassic Park
- Ennio Morricone: La misión
- Ennio Morricone: Cinema Paradiso
- John Powell: Como entrenar a tu dragón
- John Williams: La guerra de las galaxias
