Tomorrow, Friday, December 6th, the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Ben Palmer will perform a concert entitled ‘Dystopia’ at the Queen Elizabeth Hall of the Southbank Centre in London (UK). The concert will include some of the most classic dystopian film music, including movies such as A Clockwork Orange, Fahrenheit 451, The Maze Runner, and A Nightmare Before Christmas.

 

Saxophonist Trish Clowes will present the world premiere of composer Joe Cutler’s Saxophone Concerto, commissioned by BBC Radio 3. The concert will have the participation of the cellist Benjamin Hughes and presenter Matthew Sweet.

 

The program will include the following pieces:

  • Gioachino Rossini – Overture, The Thieving Magpie
  • Joe Cutler: Saxophone Concerto (Hawaii Hawaii Hawaii) (World premiere)
