Yesterday, Sunday, December 10, ended the 9th edition of Festival Musimagem Brasil (4 – 10.12.2023), with many free online conferences with Debbie Wiseman, Pinar Toprak, Mikael Carlsson and Robert Townson, among others.

  • English composer Debbie Wiseman, known for her approximately 150 film scores, including all seasons of “Father Brown,” and who was invited to write some of the music performed at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III, talks about her career and musical work.

  • Swedish composer Mikael Carlsson, CEO of record label MovieScore Media, and Pinar Toprak, composer of “Captain Marvel,” “Dreamland” and “Lost City,” talk about the impact of new generations of composers on the world of film scores.

  • Robert Townson, who has produced over a thousand film score albums, talks with composer and researcher Alexandre Guerra, known for scoring dozens of films and series, including “O Tempo e o Vento.” They discuss the key figures in the history of the genre in Brazil and the United States.
