The 12th edition of the festival Sombra – Festival de Cine Fantástico Europeo de Murcia (17-25.03.2023), will have as a special guest the Italian composer Claudio Simonetti, who with his group Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin, will perform at the closing gala of the festival the original soundtrack he composed in 1978 for the film Suspiria directed by Dario Argento.
The composer will receive the first Bernard Herrmann Award in recognition of the musical legends of fantastic cinema. The artist is a key figure in the fantastic cinema in which he has earned his place as the author of Italian horror films and some mythical American films such as Dawn of the dead, by George A. Romero, filmed in 1978.
