The “Francisco Mário” Award, one of the biggest Modern Acoustic Guitar Awards today, aims to value the work of musicians and instrumentalists who dedicate themselves to one of the most played musical instruments in the world, the acoustic guitar.
With more than 8.000€ in prizes, this first edition celebrates the work of Brazilian composer Francisco “Chico” Mário, an exponent of Brazilian instrumental music and a pioneer in the production of independent records in Brazil.
