Yesterday, December 3, 2023, Barcelona hosted a special concert in tribute to Joe Hisaishi.

 

Our friend Coque Cano, tireless collaborator of SoundTrackFest, leaves us this brief summary, while we wait for the extensive article that will arrive soon:

“Wonderful concert we were able to enjoy yesterday afternoon at the Auditori CCIB of the Forum of Barcelona. Almost three and a half hours of the musical magic of the Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi, in his most orchestral and symphonic side, performed by the Universal Symphony Orchestra of Valencia under the baton of maestro Adrián Ronda Sampayo.

 

Soon we will have a detailed review of it, but we can advance that it was a success, with a full house surrendered to the delicate and at the same time epic melodies of the Japanese maestro, in what was undoubtedly one of the musical events of this end of the year. Once again, the company Overlook Events is a guarantee of quality (remember the concert dedicated to Assassin’s Creed) so we look forward to new monographic projects of this nature and to continue betting on releasing them in our country”.
