Throughout 5 concerts to be held this month of May, the Boston Pops conducted by Keith Lockhart, celebrates the legendary and prolific composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein on the centennial of his birth, who was closely connected to Boston and this orchestra. The concerts will feature a wide variety of his works from the symphonic stage, opera, Broadway, art songs and film scores.
Vocalists Matthew Anderson (tenor), Aimee Doherty (actress/singer), Teresa Winner Blume (lyric coloratura), David McFerrin (baritone) and Andy Tighe (actor/singer), will join the orchestra to sing selections from Candide, West Side Story, and many more.
