The 100-year-old Redlands Bowl Performing Arts, will celebrate today, Tuesday, June 27, the “The Grand Finals of the Young Artist Concerto Competition” as part of the “Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival”, with the Orchestra Santa Monica conducted by Roger Kalia, featuring flutist Sara Andon.
This outdoor free concert will include dazzling performances from extraordinarily talented finalists as they compete for the prestigious competition’s top prize. Finalists are chosen through a rigorous worldwide selection process prior to the concert and the winners are announced at the evening’s conclusion.
At this concert, world-renown flutist Sara Andon will be performing her special repertoire of Austin Wintory‘s arrangement of Elmer Bernstein‘s ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’, Lee Holdridge‘s arrangement of Alex North‘s ‘Love Theme’ from Spartacus and Henry Mancini’s arrangement of his own Moon River, among others.
