The East Sussex Youth Orchestra (ESYO), founded in 1979, has affected and influenced many hundreds of lives. This weekend, on Sunday October 20th, ESYO alumni from across the years return to play once again under Colin Metters, in an invitation that was open to all alumni. Therefore, this ‘Reunion Orchestra’ will contain players at the top of the profession, occasional and freelance players, enthusiastic amateurs, and even those who had to find their instruments and practice.
World-renown composer John Powell will be an important part of the event, premiering a new piece exclusively created for the 40th anniversary of the ESO, and journeying from Los Angeles with his viola to play again, forty years on!
