The 21st edition of the Sopot Film Festival (10-18.07.2021), will celebrate tomorrow, Tuesday, July 13th, the 6th edition of their annual Film Music Concert on the stage of the Forest Opera in Sopot (Poland).
The main theme of the concert this year will be ‘Hero, Superhero, Anti-hero’, and as in previous years, will include a combination of symphonic music, performed by the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot conducted by Rafał Janiak, with invited guests and soloists to perform electronic arrangements and remixes of classical works: Misia Furtak, Igor Walaszek – Igo (Bass Astral X Igo), and Hatti Vatti (Piotr Kaliński).
The show will be accompanied by original visuals on the screens on stage and in the Forest Opera and the program will include music arrangements from such films as: “Leon the Professional” dir. Luc Besson, “The Piano” dir. Jane Campion, “The Theory of Everything” dir. James Marsh, “American Beauty” dir. Sam Mendes, “The Dark Knight” (dir. Christopher Nolan), “The Joker” (dir. Todd Phillips) and TV series: Six Feet Under, The Crown, Normal People, Westworld, Dark.
The main patron of the concert is once again the City of Sopot and the organizers are Sopot Film Festival, Cultural Association Brak Brak, Baltic Artistic Agency BART, and Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot.
