The Ateneo de Malaga cultural society will present today, Thursday, May 17th, the ‘Medallas Ateneo 2018’ award, given annually in recognition to the people or entities dedicated to culture. Among the names this year, we can highlight veteran Spanish film music composer Antón García Abril, who will receive this award along with Diana Navarro, Francisco Peralto Vicario, Diego Rodríguez Vargas and the Association against silence and oblivion, for the recovery of historical memory.
The ceremony will take place in the Sala Unicaja de Conciertos María Cristina in Malaga, and will feature the performance of the Joven Orquesta Promúsica conducted by Javier Claudio, accompanying the evening with a musical theme dedicated to each of the awardees.
