World-renowned composer & conductor Tan Dun created the Martial Arts Trilogy in 2010, combining the music he composed for three critically acclaimed films: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon by Ang Lee, Hero by Zhang Yimou, and The Banquet by Feng Xiaogang.
Tomorrow Friday 10th of August, and during the 14th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, the Tonus Trio (Violinist Kowoon Yang, Cellist Kangho Lee, and Pianist Hee Sung Joo) will perform the Martial Arts Trilogy, combining sonatas and multimedia to rediscover the spirit of Chinese martial arts.
The Martial Arts Trilogy consists of the works: Crouching Tiger Sonata, Hero Sonata, The Banquet Sonata, and The Triple Resurrection Trio. Tan Dun will be present at the festival to receive the Jecheon Asia Film Music Honorary Award 2018.
