Last weekend (30-31/8 & 1/9/19) the traditional concerts ‘Maestro of the Movies: The Music of John Williams’ were held at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (California, USA).
Although the concerts were performed by the LA Phil orchestra under the baton of David Newman, the legendary John Williams took the podium to conduct one of the final pieces of concert: ‘Star Wars – Main Title’. Smiling and with complicity, Williams said that everyone is working very hard on the last film in the series, episode IX directed by J.J. Abrams, which has a lot of music, and he added that he is sure that fans will like the movie.
As it has been a tradition for more than 15 years, the performance of this piece was received with hundreds of colored laser sabers, waving to the rhythm of the music, something that maestro Williams approves (as he has already indicated when he’s been asked).
