La National Symphony Orchestra conmemorará el 90º cumpleaños de John Williams en Washington DC del 22 al 24 de junio de 2022, durante una celebración repleta de estrellas, música, cine y magia.

 

El centro de las celebraciones será un concierto de gala de cumpleaños el jueves 23 de junio en el Kennedy Center, con la presencia de John Williams y su icónica música. Dirigido por Stéphane Denève, este evento irrepetible tendrá a la National Symphony Orchestra con invitados especiales como Yo-Yo Ma, Steven Spielberg, Anne-Sophie Mutter y otros.

Este concierto se completará con un cóctel especial antes de la actuación y una exclusiva cena de cumpleaños después, con la presencia de John Williams (las entradas tienen un precio de 500-50.000 $ / 438-43.800 €).

“Inspired by John Williams’ belief in the importance of music education, packages, sponsorships, and donations in support of this special event grow the newly established NSO Music Education Fund to provide ongoing, endowed support for NSO education initiatives, which engage approximately 40,000 students annually.

 

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception on the Kennedy Center River Plaza, followed by an all-star birthday concert celebrating John Williams’ iconic music. After the performance, major event supporters will raise a glass to John at an exclusive birthday dinner in the Skylight Pavilion.

 

Sponsorships range from $1,750 – $50,000, with a limited number of $500 Party Passes available including only the cocktail reception and Gala Concert.”

Además, habrá otros dos conciertos: proyecciones con orquesta en directo de E.T. el Extraterrestre (22 de junio) y Parque Jurásico (24 de junio) dirigidas por Steven Reineke.

 

El 24 de junio, el público estará invitado a participar en una sesión especial de preguntas y respuestas antes del concierto con John Williams y la presidenta del Centro Kennedy, Deborah F. Rutter.
