On Saturday, September 22nd at noon, and within the 66th edition of the San Sebastian Festival / Donostia Zinemaldia Festival, a free concert dedicated to film music called ‘Paseo por el Cine’ was held, in charge of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi, conducted by Fernando Velázquez.
The concert had the music of Fernando Velázquez, Zacarías M. de la Riva, Arnau Bataller, Juan Quintero Muñoz, Bernardo Bonezzi, and Álvaro Carmona, being the first three present in the event in person.
Gorka Oteiza attended the concert and leaves us these photos and this commentary, as a summary of the article that he will soon publish exclusively in SoundTrackFest: “A concert of just over an hour and a half, with a variety of themes to satisfy all audiences, that were very well performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi , although sometimes it lacked some strength and skill. An audience of almost 2,700 people filling the Velodrome of Anoeta, mostly families, celebrated the end of the concert with a great round of applause, thanking a quality concert, highly enjoyable and free, which we hope can continue to be celebrated for many more years”.
