Hollywood in Vienna 2021 – Alan Menken – Postponed to 2022
Hollywood in Vienna honoring Alan Menken, will have to wait one more year, as the organization has just announced that they have been forced to postpone the event from September 2021 to September 2022.
Initially, the 13th edition of Hollywood in Vienna was going to be celebrated on October 2 & 3, 2020 (read more), but it had to be postponed to September 23 (Thursday) & 24 (Friday), 2021, due to quarantine caused by the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic (read more).
Now, the new dates are September 23 (Friday) & 24 (Saturday), 2022, being the tickets and VIP packages for the original dates valid for the new dates (as was the case with the last postponement).

Dear »Hollywood in Vienna« fans!
A year into a pandemic with new challenges, changes, and unprecedented circumstances, we were full of optimism about leaving the corona crisis behind us, in order to celebrate “Hollywood in Vienna” with you once more in September 2021.
Unfortunately, the pandemic remains omnipresent, events are still not permitted, theatres and concert halls remain closed, and travel is often difficult or even impossible. Not least due to the delayed progress of the vaccine rollout, we regrettably expect that normality will not have returned by autumn, that we will still not be allowed to open the Konzerthaus auditorium to 100% of its capacity, and that travel restrictions will continue to hinder the participation of artists and audiences.
These persisting obstacles on so many levels, not to mention the protection of all our health, which we consider to be our top priority, unfortunately leave us no choice but to postpone the concerts scheduled for 2021, in consultation with Alan Menken himself, by yet another year to September 2022.
Please rest assured that Alan Menken and we, in close cooperation with Disney, are already working on the »A Celebration of Disney Classics« show for 2022 with great enthusiasm. Thus, we are even more excited by the prospect of celebrating our gala concert next year, featuring Alan, Arielle, Belle, Hercules, Rapunzel, and – of course – you! One thing is a certainty: it will be a truly magical event!

Your tickets and VIP- and Premium packages for the original dates remain valid for the new dates (as was the case with the last postponement) and do not need to be exchanged.
