Just like that, by surprise, the Vienna Philharmonic (Wiener Philharmoniker) has announced that John Williams will conduct two concerts dedicated to his music in Vienna (Austria), on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of November 2018, the week after conducting his concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London (Friday, October 26 – read news).
The concerts named “John Williams conducts the Wiener Philharmoniker”, will be held in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein in Vienna and will have the participation of cellist Johannes Moser.
The confirmed program for these concerts is as follows:
The Royal Albert Hall, with more than 5,200 seats, sold out all their tickets in a matter of hours in February, leaving many fans unable to enjoy John Williams live in Europe. Now there is a second chance, but tickets at the Wiener Musikverein are also expected to sell out quickly, because although there will be two concerts, the capacity of the venue is almost half the capacity of the Royal Albert Hall in London, with 2,800 seats.
The tickets presale for members started at 9 a.m. on 5/28/2018 and the general advance ticket sale started at 9 a.m. on Wednesday 5/30/2018.
