Alexandre Desplat – Wiener Symphoniker – March 2024

As we already informed you in previous articles (read more-1, read more-2), composer Alexandre Desplat will conduct this Friday, March 1st, 2024 the world-renown Wiener Symphoniker at the Wiener Musikverein in Vienna (Austria), continuing the series of concerts ‘CINEMA:SOUND’ started in 2023 with Joe Hisaishi (read more).

 

This will be the second of a concert of “CINEMA:SOUND”, created by Tomek Productions, where prestigious film music composers will led the Wiener Symphoniker to their music.

 “Together with the two-time Oscar winner Alexandre Desplat, the Wiener Symphoniker invite you to a first-class film music evening in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein.

 In the film music series Cinema:Sound of the Wiener Symphoniker, one of the most celebrated movie composers worldwide, Alexandre Desplat, will take the podium in the golden hall of the Wiener Musikvereins and conduct the prestigious orchestra. Alexandre Desplat has composed scores for more than 170 movies, including The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Imitation Game and Harry Potter and has collaborated with top filmmakers such as Wes Anderson, George Clooney, Stephen Frears, Ang Lee, Roman Polanski, Terrence Malick and Jacques Audiard. For his sophisticated and elegant orchestral film scores that embrace the movies with unique textures and atmosphere, Alexandre Desplat was awarded with 2 Oscars, 2 Grammies and 2 Golden Globes. Along with Alexandre Desplat will be his artistic director Solrey who is supervising of all his recordings and concerts.”
